Wrath of the Forest Spirit - Papercut Illustrations

This series of papercut illustrations depict the story of a forest spirit who becomes enraged when trees are cut down by humans, leading to a curse that transforms the arthropods of the forest into giants to protect it. Through this mythology, the artworks explore the complex relationship between humans and nature and the consequences that can arise from our actions. The series was inspired by the Ngong Road Forest Sanctuary and the pressing threats to its continued existence as Nairobi's largest urban forest.
